Chlamydia and gonorrhoea are bacterial infections, two of the most common STIs. Both can be treated with antibiotics from your doctor. Many people experience no symptoms at all, which is why regular testing matters. Our Basic STI Check covers both, or you can opt for the Standard STI Check for a wider four-test panel.
We use the 4th Generation ELISA test for early HIV detection, typically accurate from 2 to 4 weeks after exposure. Most people develop antibodies within 14 to 25 days, but in rare cases it can take up to three months. The HIV antibody test screens for both HIV 1 and HIV 2. Included in the Standard STI Check, STI Blood Test and Serology Clearance.
A blood test that looks for syphilis (Treponema Pallidum), a bacterial infection that can become serious if left untreated. Syphilis can be treated with the right antibiotics from your doctor. Included in our Standard STI Check.
Our Hepatitis B Serology test checks for current infection, immunity, and past exposure. The surface antigen (HBsAg) shows current infection, while the antibodies (HBsAb and HBcAb) show whether you have protection from past infection or vaccination, or have been exposed previously. Available standalone or as part of the STI Blood Test and Serology Clearance.
A simple blood test (Hepatitis C Antibody Test, or anti-HCV) that establishes whether someone has ever been infected with Hepatitis C. Antibodies are released into the bloodstream when infected. Included in the STI Blood Test and Serology Clearance.
Trichomonas is a parasitic infection transmitted during sexual contact. It typically affects the urethra in men and the lower genital tract in women. Most infections cause no symptoms, but when they do appear they range from mild irritation to severe inflammation. Included in our Urine STI Panel.
Our Urine MCS test detects bacteria in a urine sample which may be the cause of a UTI. Most UTIs are bacterial infections starting in the urethra. Common symptoms include a strong persistent need to urinate, burning during urination, and lower back pain. Most can be easily treated when caught early. The test also identifies which antibiotics are most likely to work.
