Request form, testing and results included
The four infections most sexual health checks cover. A solid annual check, or the one to order after a possible exposure.
All 4 infections checked
Multi-site screening
Request form, testing and results included
Adds throat swabs and trichomonas. Throat infections are common and usually have no symptoms at all, so a urine-only test can miss them entirely.
All 8 infections checked
Nothing left unchecked
Request form, testing and results included
Our deepest panel. Multi-site swabs, every common blood-borne virus, herpes antibodies, hepatitis B immunity and liver function in one visit.
Everything checked
If getting to a collection centre is the part putting you off, we post you a kit instead. Collect a urine sample at home, send it back through Australia Post, and get your results by email. Same accredited Australian laboratory, same pathology report.
No clinic visit at all
Kit, return postage, lab testing and results included
The four infections behind most STI testing in Australia, from a single urine sample you collect at home. Order it tonight, collect it whenever suits you, drop it in a post box on your way past.
All 4 infections checked
Urine cannot check HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B or hepatitis C. Those need a blood sample, so add the Full STI Test if you want them covered.
Nothing left unchecked at home
Kit, return postage, lab testing and results included
Our deepest urine panel. Adds the organisms behind persistent discharge, irritation and odour that a standard four-target screen misses entirely. Same single sample, same walk to the post box.
All 10 targets checked
Urine cannot check HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B or hepatitis C. Those need a blood sample, so if you want everything covered, add the STI Blood Test or choose the Complete Sexual Health Panel.

Compare every STI testIf something feels off right now, you do not need a full panel to get an answer. These go straight at one problem, usually at a lower price and always with the same fast turnaround.

What is checked
No needles, no blood

Three common infections from a urine sample alone. The easiest option if needles are a hard no for you.
What is checked
After treatment
Request form, testing and results included
Confirms chlamydia and gonorrhoea are no longer detectable after treatment. Order it yourself when a repeat test has been recommended.
What is checked
Order one on its own, whether you want a clean answer on the three viruses, a full picture of your hepatitis B status, or documented clearance for a sporting body. A good pairing with an at-home kit if you want everything covered.
The three viruses, nothing else
Request form, testing and results included
A single blood draw covering HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C. Ideal for routine screening, after a possible exposure, or alongside an at-home urine kit.

Locations
Brisbane coverage runs through the inner city and the Valley, out to Chermside and North Lakes in the north, Carindale and Cleveland in the east, Sunnybank and Springwood in the south, and Toowong and Indooroopilly in the west. The network continues down through Logan to the Gold Coast, north to the Sunshine Coast, and out to Toowoomba, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Rockhampton. Queensland's size makes the at-home kit a practical option well beyond the south east corner.
Brisbane and the south east corner are well enough covered that same-day walk-in is realistic for most people. For at-home kits, transit within the south east is quick, but if you are ordering to Far North Queensland or the central west, allow additional days each way and try to lodge your sample early in the week.
Centres commonly used by Brisbane customers include those around Brisbane CBD, Fortitude Valley, New Farm, West End, South Brisbane, Woolloongabba, Greenslopes, Carindale, Mount Gravatt and Sunnybank. Opening hours vary by location, and mornings are usually the busiest, so if you want to be in and out quickly, aim for the middle of the day.
Whichever you choose, the sample is processed by a NATA-accredited Australian laboratory and every result is reviewed by an AHPRA-registered doctor before it reaches you. Our national network covers 3,300+ collection centres.
Most people worry less about the test itself and more about who finds out. So here is exactly what we do not do, in plain words.
You pay privately. We never claim against Medicare, so nothing appears in your Medicare claims history for anyone to scroll past.
Your results are not sent to your My Health Record. They sit with you, in your inbox and your private results portal.
Your regular doctor is not cc'd and never hears from us. If you decide you want them to see it, you send it. That call is yours alone.
We do not sell, share or disclose your results to health funds, life insurers, employers or anyone else. Not now, not later.
Order an in-centre test and nothing is posted to you at all, since your request form is emailed. Order an at-home kit and it arrives in a plain, unbranded satchel with no mention of MediTests, the laboratory or the test on the outside. Results always come by email, never by post.
Your card statement shows MediTests and nothing else. No test name, no clinic name, no clue.
Same NATA-accredited laboratories, same pathology report. A completely different experience getting there.
NATA Accredited Pathology

Including the questions nobody wants to say out loud.
Two ways, and you choose. Order any test online and your pathology request form is emailed to you instantly, then walk into a partner collection centre anywhere across Brisbane, including Brisbane CBD, Fortitude Valley, New Farm, West End, South Brisbane, Woolloongabba and many more. No booking and no Medicare card needed.
Or order an at-home STI test kit and collect your sample without leaving the house. Use the collection centre finder to see the closest centre to you and its opening hours.
No. MediTests is a private, self-request pathology service, so you can order an STI test in Brisbane without a referral, a consult or an appointment. Pick your test, check out in about two minutes, and your request form arrives by email straight away.
Prices are the same everywhere in Australia. Our sexual health tests run from $69 to $379. The Full STI Test is $199 and covers chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C. The Basic STI Test is $99, Standard $165, Advanced $279 and the Complete Sexual Health Panel $349. At-home kits are $199 and $299 including return postage.
Every price includes the request form, the lab testing and your results, with no gap fees and nothing extra to pay at the collection centre.
Results are typically ready within 24 to 48 hours of your sample reaching the laboratory, and you are notified privately as soon as they have been reviewed by an AHPRA-registered doctor. Because your request form is emailed instantly, you can order this morning and give your sample this afternoon.
If you order an at-home kit instead, allow Australia Post transit in both directions on top of the laboratory turnaround.
No. You pay privately, so we never claim against Medicare and nothing appears in your Medicare claims history. We do not upload results to My Health Record and we do not send anything to your GP unless you ask us to. Your results go to your email and your private results portal, and nowhere else.
Your card statement shows MediTests only. It does not name the test.
For most people the Full STI Test at $199 is the right call. It covers the six infections people actually worry about, blood and urine in one visit.
Go up to the Advanced STI Test at $279 if you have had oral or receptive sex, since throat infections are common and usually silent, or the Complete Sexual Health Panel at $349 if you want everything. On a tighter budget the Basic STI Test at $99 covers the two most common infections in Australia. If you have a specific symptom, the targeted tests go straight at one problem for less.
Yes. Our at-home STI urine test kits are posted anywhere in Brisbane and Queensland in a plain, unbranded satchel. You collect a urine sample at home, then send it back through Australia Post in the return satchel supplied.
These are collection kits, not rapid self-tests. Your sample is processed by the same accredited Australian laboratory network, so you get a real pathology report. Note that urine cannot check HIV, syphilis or hepatitis, which need a blood sample.
Yes. Your sample is collected by a trained collector at an accredited collection centre, or by you at home with a kit, and processed by the same NATA-accredited Australian laboratories that hospitals and GPs use, operating to ISO 15189 standards. Your report is a full pathology report in the same format any doctor would receive.
Yes, several are. Australian public health law requires every accredited laboratory to confidentially notify its state or territory health department of positive results for certain conditions. In Queensland that is Queensland Health. This applies to every lab in the country, including the one your own GP uses.
The notification is for disease surveillance, it is protected by privacy law, and it is not shared with your employer, your insurer, your family or your partner. It does not appear on Medicare or My Health Record.
MediTests is a pathology service and we do not prescribe, dispense or manage treatment. Every report is reviewed by an AHPRA-registered doctor before it reaches you, anything positive is flagged clearly and explained in plain language, and if something needs prompt attention we contact you privately.
Your report comes in the standard pathology format, so any GP or telehealth service in Brisbane will accept it. Treatment for the common bacterial infections is usually a single course of antibiotics.
Not knowing does not make it go away, it just makes it heavier. Order now, get your form instantly, give your sample today, and have a real answer in 24 to 48 hours. Privately, and on your terms.
Please note: certain infectious diseases are notifiable to state and territory health departments by the testing laboratory, as required by Australian law. This applies to every accredited pathology laboratory in Australia. Our at-home kits are self-collection kits processed by an accredited laboratory. They are not rapid self-tests and do not give a result at home.
MediTests ships at-home kits and supports collection centres Australia wide.
