TRT monitoring plus a full annual in one

Get the depth of an annual health check (heart, thyroid, metabolic, nutrients, organs) alongside everything TRT monitoring needs. The most thorough single-panel TRT option available.

Heart risk beyond cholesterol

ApoB, Lipoprotein(a), homocysteine and high-sensitivity CRP plus a full lipid panel. The cardiovascular depth leading longevity doctors now treat as standard, especially important on TRT.

A complete blood picture, not just haematocrit

Full Blood Count covers haematocrit (TRT blood thickening) plus red cells, white cells, platelets and haemoglobin. Reveals anaemia, immune patterns and broader blood health, not just the TRT safety marker.

Full thyroid plus metabolic depth

TSH, Free T3 and Free T4 for a real thyroid read, with fasting insulin, HOMA-IR and HbA1c for early metabolic dysfunction. Two systems that quietly drive how you feel and perform alongside testosterone.

Oestradiol and prostate safety

Oestradiol (E2) measures how much testosterone is converting to oestrogen, the marker behind nipple sensitivity, water retention and mood changes. PSA monitors prostate health alongside.

Performance hormones and nutrient depth

IGF-1, Growth Hormone, Cortisol and DHEAS for training adaptation and recovery. Plus vitamin D, zinc and iron studies with ferritin, the nutrients TRT can affect and the body needs to perform.

Common questions

Everything you need to know before you order.

No GP consult or telehealth appointment needed. We instantly generate your pathology referral and send it directly to your inbox after checkout.
You can order any test you want without the gatekeeping.

Through your GP, blood tests are typically only bulk-billed under Medicare if you have a specific medical condition that justifies them. You can't just walk in and ask for a panel because you're curious or want a baseline. Your doctor decides which markers get tested, and that list is usually limited.

MediTests is for people who want to take a more proactive approach to their health. Whether you're looking for deeper insights, want to establish a personal baseline, or simply choose exactly which markers you want to track, you're in control. No condition required, no waiting room, no Medicare eligibility hurdles.

Never. The price you see includes everything: referral, testing, processing and results. No surprises.
The most common reason is that something feels off but a standard GP panel hasn't turned anything up. Fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, low mood, poor recovery, irregular cycles and low libido all have measurable biological causes that a targeted panel can identify.

You don't need symptoms to benefit from testing. Proactive testing establishes your personal baseline, catches risk factors before they cause harm, and helps you understand whether diet, training or lifestyle changes are actually working.
Yes, absolutely. You can build your own panel by choosing from our wide range of individual tests. Whether you're checking one thing or a combination of markers, you're in control of what you get tested for. Visit our Create Your Own Test page to start building.

A very positive experience

I booked a blood test because my health insurance did not cover GP consultations. The referral form was emailed to me immediately, I walked into a collection centre the next morning and my results arrived the very next day. One result showed an elevated TSH level and because I was pregnant, a doctor from their Sydney office personally called me to talk it through. It made me feel they genuinely cared.

Could not have been better

I've been in remission from Graves Disease for a few years and suddenly had symptoms again. It was easy to choose and purchase the test I needed at a reasonable price and set up the appointment online for the next day. The lab tech was friendly and put me entirely at ease, and the results were delivered electronically within a day or two. Could not have been better.

TRT Advanced Monitoring Panel

The TRT Advanced Monitoring Panel is our most comprehensive TRT monitoring blood test, for men on testosterone replacement therapy who want to keep a close eye on more than just the basics. Therapy can affect your blood, heart, thyroid and metabolism over time, and this panel tracks all of it in one test.

On hormones it measures total and free testosterone, SHBG, oestradiol, LH, FSH, prolactin, progesterone, cortisol, DHEAS, IGF-1 and growth hormone. For safety it includes a full blood count (to monitor haematocrit), PSA, liver and kidney function, calcium, magnesium and phosphate. On top of that it adds advanced cardiovascular markers (ApoB, Lipoprotein(a), homocysteine and a full lipid profile), a metabolic block (fasting insulin, HOMA-IR, HbA1c), a complete thyroid panel (TSH, FT3, FT4) and key nutrients (iron studies, vitamin D and zinc).

For a simpler baseline, the TRT Baseline Bloodwork covers the essentials at a lower price point. You can also build your own blood test if you want to tailor your monitoring.

The TRT Advanced Monitoring Panel needs no GP referral and no appointment, so you can get your blood test online and walk into any of 3,300+ collection centres across Australia, with results in 24 to 48 hours. For more on this test and what your results can show, Healthdirect Australia is a useful reference.

What we test for

Full Blood Count: Assesses red and white blood cells and platelets, providing insight into overall health, immune function, and haematological changes that can occur with testosterone therapy including elevated haematocrit and red cell mass.

Total Testosterone: Measures the total amount of testosterone in the blood, the primary marker used to assess baseline hormonal status and evaluate treatment response on TRT.

Free Testosterone: Reflects the biologically active portion of testosterone available to cells and tissues, offering a more precise picture of hormonal status than total testosterone alone and a critical metric when optimising TRT dosing.

Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG): A protein that binds to sex hormones and regulates how much testosterone is freely available. SHBG levels directly influence free testosterone and are an important variable in TRT management.

Oestradiol (E2): The primary form of oestrogen, which can rise as testosterone converts via aromatase. Monitoring oestradiol on TRT helps identify imbalances that can affect mood, libido, water retention, and cardiovascular health.

PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen): A protein produced by the prostate gland. Baseline and ongoing PSA monitoring is standard practice for men on TRT to assess prostate health and detect any significant changes over time.

Lipid Studies (Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides): Evaluates cholesterol and fat levels in the blood. Testosterone therapy can influence lipid profiles, making regular cardiovascular monitoring an important part of TRT management.

Liver Function Tests (LFTs): Assess enzymes and markers that reflect liver health. Relevant for men on oral or injectable testosterone preparations and important for monitoring any metabolic impact of ongoing treatment.

Kidney Function (EUC/eGFR): Measures waste products and electrolytes to assess kidney health and fluid balance, which can be influenced by hormonal changes during TRT.

HbA1c: Reflects average blood sugar levels over the past 2 to 3 months. Testosterone has a meaningful influence on insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism, making this a useful marker to track alongside treatment.

Calcium: Essential for bone health, muscle contraction, nerve signalling, and heart function. Relevant in the context of hormonal therapy given testosterone’s role in bone density regulation.

Magnesium: Involved in muscle function, nerve activity, energy production, and electrolyte balance. Magnesium also plays a role in testosterone metabolism and is commonly suboptimal in men on TRT.

Phosphate: Plays a role in bone health, energy metabolism, and cellular function, and is monitored as part of overall metabolic health during hormone therapy.

High Sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP): A sensitive marker of systemic inflammation. Useful for assessing cardiovascular and metabolic health at baseline and tracking any inflammatory changes during TRT.

Luteinising Hormone (LH): A pituitary hormone that signals the testes to produce testosterone. LH is suppressed by exogenous testosterone, making it a useful marker for assessing natural production status and pituitary response during treatment.

Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH): A pituitary hormone involved in sperm production and testicular function. Like LH, FSH is typically suppressed on TRT and is an important marker for men concerned about fertility preservation.

Prolactin: A hormone produced by the pituitary gland. Elevated levels can affect libido, sexual function, and mood, and may indicate pituitary involvement relevant to the broader hormonal picture.

Progesterone: A reproductive hormone that plays a role in broader hormonal balance. Relevant in TRT monitoring as part of a complete sex hormone assessment.

Cortisol: The body’s primary stress hormone. Cortisol levels interact with testosterone and can significantly affect energy, recovery, body composition, and overall treatment outcomes on TRT.

DHEAS (Dehydroepiandrosterone Sulphate): An adrenal precursor hormone to testosterone and oestrogen. Reflects adrenal reserve and contributes to the broader hormonal picture alongside testosterone therapy.

IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1): A hormone produced primarily by the liver in response to growth hormone signalling. Reflects overall growth hormone activity and is relevant to recovery, muscle growth, body composition, and metabolic health.

Growth Hormone: Assesses growth hormone levels directly, providing insight into pituitary function, recovery capacity, fat metabolism, and musculoskeletal health alongside testosterone and IGF-1.

Apolipoprotein B (ApoB): Measures the number of atherogenic particles in the blood and is considered one of the most accurate predictors of cardiovascular risk available. Particularly important on TRT given testosterone’s potential to negatively shift lipid particle numbers over time.

Homocysteine: An amino acid that, when elevated, is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, and cognitive decline. Levels are influenced by B-vitamin status, genetics, and kidney function, and are worth monitoring as part of advanced cardiovascular risk assessment on TRT.

Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)]: An independent and largely genetically determined cardiovascular risk factor. Lp(a) is not meaningfully altered by lifestyle and provides important context for long-term cardiovascular risk stratification in men on hormone therapy.

Iron Studies with Ferritin: Assesses iron levels, iron storage, and binding capacity. Testosterone stimulates red blood cell production, which increases iron demand and can deplete ferritin stores over time. Essential monitoring for men on TRT, particularly those undergoing therapeutic phlebotomy.

Fasting Insulin: Measures insulin levels in a fasted state to assess how hard the pancreas is working to manage blood sugar. Elevated fasting insulin is one of the earliest signs of insulin resistance, often preceding changes in glucose or HbA1c, and is directly relevant given testosterone’s influence on metabolic function.

HOMA-IR: A calculated index derived from fasting glucose and fasting insulin that quantifies insulin resistance. Provides a clear, single-number picture of how effectively your body is responding to insulin and how TRT may be influencing your metabolic health over time.

Thyroid Function (TSH, Free T3, Free T4): Evaluates thyroid hormone balance, which interacts directly with testosterone metabolism, energy regulation, body composition, and recovery. Thyroid dysfunction can blunt the benefits of TRT and is an important variable to monitor at the advanced level.

Vitamin D: Assesses vitamin D status, which plays a direct role in testosterone synthesis, immune function, and bone density. Deficiency is common and can limit the effectiveness of TRT if left unaddressed.

Zinc: An essential trace mineral and critical cofactor for testosterone production and aromatase regulation. Zinc deficiency can suppress testosterone levels and impair the hormonal response to TRT.
