The value

Why it's worth knowing

The complete female fertility picture

AMH for ovarian reserve, FSH and LH for the brain signal, oestradiol and progesterone for cycle health, prolactin and androstenedione for hormone imbalance. Every key fertility marker in one panel.

AMH reveals your egg reserve

AMH is the single best marker of remaining egg supply. Knowing your level helps inform family planning timing whether you are trying now or thinking ahead.

Tracks ovulation through progesterone

Progesterone only rises after ovulation. The panel reveals whether ovulation is happening reliably each cycle, not just whether you think it is.

Identifies PMOS (formerly PCOS) and hormone imbalance

Elevated androstenedione, free testosterone or LH/FSH ratio flags PMOS. The panel investigates the full hormone landscape rather than guessing.

For couples planning, struggling or thinking ahead

Whether trying to conceive now, considering it in the next few years or wanting to know where you stand, this is the comprehensive female fertility check.

Walk in, no referral, results in 24-48 hours

Walk into any of our 3,300+ collection centres. AMH can be tested anytime, other markers ideally on day 2-5 of your cycle if still menstruating.

FAQs

Common questions

Everything you need to know before you order.

Through your GP, blood tests are typically only covered by Medicare when they're medically warranted. Medicare covers testing because a condition justifies it, not because you want to be proactive or just want to know certain things. You can't just walk in and ask for a panel of biomarkers because you're curious or want a baseline. Your doctor decides which markers get tested, and that list is usually limited.

MediTests is for people who want to take a proactive approach to their health. Deep insights, a personal baseline, and the exact markers you want to track over time. You're in full control. It's your data. No condition required, no waiting room, no eligibility hurdles.

You can get any test you want, with over 300 blood tests across 16 categories. We never refuse a blood test.

You also get your original lab report back in 24 to 48 hours, sent straight to your inbox. No follow-up consult, no appointment to book, and nothing linked to My Health Record or Medicare. Completely private.

Same NATA-accredited labs GPs and hospitals use. Same accuracy. None of the waiting.
No GP consult or telehealth appointment needed. We instantly generate your pathology request form and send it directly to your inbox after checkout.

If you would like one, we also offer private doctor consultations as an optional extra, for people who want private blood test results and a private consult to discuss them.
As simple as it gets:
  1. Choose your test online. Your pathology request form arrives in your inbox instantly.
  2. Walk into any of our 3,300+ collection centres. No appointment needed.
  3. Results delivered securely to your inbox in 24 to 48 hours.
Most tests need no fasting at all. Some markers, like fasting glucose, fasting insulin and certain cholesterol panels, give the most accurate reading after fasting. If your test needs it, it's stated on the product page and on your pathology request form. Water is always fine.
No, never. Nothing is linked to My Health Record or Medicare. Your results are completely private and confidential: they're sent securely to your email, and only you decide who sees them. Many of our customers choose MediTests for exactly this reason, and we take that privacy seriously.
100%. We partner with NATA-accredited Australian laboratories, the same trusted labs used by hospitals and GPs across the country. Every result is processed to the same clinical standards as your local pathology centre.
Never. The price you see includes everything: your pathology request form, testing, processing and results. No surprises.
The most common reason is that something feels off but a standard GP panel hasn't turned anything up. Fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, low mood, poor recovery, irregular cycles and low libido all have measurable biological causes that a targeted panel can identify.

You don't need symptoms to benefit from testing. Proactive testing establishes your personal baseline, catches risk factors before they cause harm, and helps you understand whether diet, training or lifestyle changes are actually working.
Yes, absolutely. You can build your own panel by choosing from our wide range of individual tests. Whether you're checking one thing or a combination of markers, you're in control of what you get tested for. Visit our Create Your Own Test page to start building.

About this test

Questions about the Female Fertility Panel

Extra answers specific to this test.

It measures 7 biomarkers: AMH, FSH, LH, oestradiol, progesterone, prolactin and androstenedione. AMH can be collected on any day, while FSH, LH, oestradiol and progesterone are read against where you are in your cycle, which is why the collection day matters for those four. All seven come from one blood sample.

No. None of these need a fasting sample, so you can be collected whenever suits you. Water is fine and there is no preparation to do beforehand. The day of your cycle does affect how FSH, LH, oestradiol and progesterone are read, so it is worth settling the timing before you go in.

This panel stays on the reproductive hormones. The Preconception Fertility Check measures 28 biomarkers, covering thyroid function, iron studies, a full blood count, folate, vitamin D and rubella immunity alongside a smaller hormone set, so it is a broader pre-pregnancy picture rather than a hormone focused one. Take this one for the hormones and the Preconception check for everything around them.

More reviews from real customers

Hundreds of Australians have skipped the referral and the waiting, and taken control of their health with MediTests.

A very positive experience

I booked a blood test because my health insurance did not cover GP consultations. The referral form was emailed to me immediately, I walked into a collection centre the next morning and my results arrived the very next day. One result showed an elevated TSH level and because I was pregnant, a doctor from their Sydney office personally called me to talk it through. It made me feel they genuinely cared.

Could not have been better

I've been in remission from Graves Disease for a few years and suddenly had symptoms again. It was easy to choose and purchase the test I needed at a reasonable price and set up the appointment online for the next day. The lab tech was friendly and put me entirely at ease, and the results were delivered electronically within a day or two. Could not have been better.

Female Fertility Panel

The Female Fertility Panel is a comprehensive female fertility test that brings together the hormones most relevant to ovulation, cycle health and reproductive planning in one test. It suits women who are trying to conceive, planning ahead, or simply want a clearer understanding of their fertility.

It measures AMH (a marker of ovarian reserve), FSH and LH (the pituitary hormones that drive ovulation), oestradiol, progesterone, prolactin and androstenedione. Together these give insight into ovarian reserve, whether ovulation is occurring, and hormone patterns that can affect fertility, including those linked to PCOS. Because several of these hormones shift across your cycle, timing the test to a specific cycle day can add useful context.

If you only want ovarian reserve, the Ovarian Reserve Check (AMH) measures AMH alone. If you are investigating PCOS specifically, the PCOS Hormone Check is more targeted. You can also build your own blood test.

The Female Fertility Panel needs no GP referral and no appointment, so you can get your blood test online and walk into any of 3,300+ collection centres across Australia, with results in 24 to 48 hours. For more on fertility and reproductive health, Jean Hailes for Women’s Health is an excellent Australian reference.

What we test for

  • AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone): Produced by the follicles in your ovaries, AMH is the most accurate single marker for ovarian reserve. It declines as the egg supply diminishes and can be tested at any point in the cycle. A low result indicates a reduced egg supply. A high result alongside other markers can indicate PCOS. This is the test most fertility specialists run first.
  • FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone): The pituitary signal that drives follicle development and egg maturation each cycle. Rising FSH over time is one of the earliest signs of declining ovarian reserve and the transition toward perimenopause. A high LH to FSH ratio is also one of the clearest hormonal patterns in PCOS.
  • LH (Luteinising Hormone): Triggers ovulation each cycle when it surges. The ratio between LH and FSH is one of the most diagnostically useful values in female reproductive testing. A consistently elevated LH relative to FSH is a hallmark of PCOS even before other symptoms are obvious.
  • Oestradiol: The primary female sex hormone, produced by the ovaries. Tested here as a baseline day two or three result, it gives context for FSH interpretation and helps assess ovarian function. Elevated oestradiol early in the cycle can falsely suppress FSH and mask declining reserve.
  • Progesterone: Produced after ovulation, progesterone is the clearest confirmation that ovulation has actually occurred. Low progesterone in the luteal phase indicates anovulatory cycles, one of the most common and overlooked causes of difficulty conceiving.
  • Prolactin: Produced by the pituitary gland. When elevated outside of breastfeeding, prolactin suppresses LH and FSH, preventing ovulation and causing irregular or absent periods. It is one of the most frequently missed hormonal causes of cycle disruption and fertility challenges and is not included in most standard hormone panels.
  • Androstenedione: An androgen produced by both the ovaries and adrenal glands. Elevated levels are found in PCOS and adrenal androgen excess, contributing to irregular cycles, hormonal acne, excess hair growth and ovulation suppression. This marker helps identify whether androgen excess is a factor and, importantly, whether it is coming from the ovaries or the adrenal glands.
