Frequently asked questions

Learn more about our service, how it works, getting your tests and accessing your results.

Our tests are privately billed, which means they’re not covered by Medicare or private health insurance. This allows you to access testing without needing to meet eligibility criteria or wait for a GP referral.

No referral needed! After checking out, you’ll receive your PDF pathology request form instantly through email. It’s all included in the price, so you can get tested straight away without needing to visit your GP first.

We make it easy to order blood tests online without needing to book a doctor’s appointment. Everything is handled digitally — from referral to results — giving you faster access to the tests you want, when you need them.

No surprises here. The price you see is the full cost, which includes the doctor referral, testing, and your results. There are no hidden fees or extra charges later on.

Yes, absolutely. You can build your own panel by choosing from our wide range of individual tests. Whether you’re checking one thing or a combination of markers, you’re in control of what you get tested for.

Once you place your order, you’ll receive a referral form with instructions. You’ll simply take this to one of our partner pathology collection centres — there are locations all around Australia.

Most collection centres accept walk-ins, but some may prefer appointments, especially in busy areas. We’ll include clear instructions with your referral to help you find the nearest location and whether you need to book ahead.

Your referral is valid only at the accredited pathology labs we partner with. These labs meet national testing standards, and using them ensures your results are processed correctly and delivered to us securely.

Most test results are ready within 1-2 business days, depending on what you’ve ordered. Some more specialised tests might take a little longer — we’ll let you know what to expect when you order.

You’ll receive your results by email or SMS in a secure PDF format. We’ll notify you as soon as they’re available, so you can access them privately and conveniently.

No — your results are completely private. They won’t be shared with your GP or added to your MyHealthRecord unless you choose to pass them on yourself.

If anything unusual shows up in your results, our team will review them. In some cases, one of our doctors may get in touch to offer guidance or recommend follow-up with your GP for further support.

We focus on testing only, so we don’t prescribe medication or offer treatment. If your results suggest follow-up is needed, we’ll recommend seeing your regular GP or a relevant specialist.
