Both forms of vitamin D, not just one
25-OH Vitamin D (the storage form) and 1,25-OH Vitamin D (the active form) measured together, the only way to see your true vitamin D status. Most routine vitamin D checks only measure one form.

The Vitamin D Optimisation Panel is a detailed vitamin D blood test measuring both forms of vitamin D plus the hormones and minerals that regulate it, for people optimising bone health, immunity and energy.
Your results delivered as a complete pathology report, with reference ranges and clinical context for every marker. Easy to read yourself or hand straight to your GP.
The same pathology report format used by hospitals and GPs across Australia.
Every result is shown alongside the normal range. Abnormal results are highlighted in red so you spot them straight away.
Delivered privately within 24-48 hours of testing. Yours to keep, share or print.

Calculated free testosterone is below the lower reference limit. May be associated with symptoms of low testosterone including fatigue, low libido, and reduced energy.

PTH rises when calcium is low, the marker that reveals whether your body is silently pulling calcium from bone to compensate, often the earliest sign of long-term vitamin D deficiency.
Vitamin D acts more like a hormone than a vitamin, shaping mood, immune function and energy. A driver behind winter blues, recurring colds and inexplicable fatigue, especially in Australians who work indoors.
Vitamin D cannot work properly without magnesium, and calcium balance depends on both. All three measured together for the full read.
Australian “normal” ranges are set to prevent deficiency, not to optimise health. Many sit inside the range yet well below the levels linked to better energy, immunity and bone health.
Vitamin D deficiency is one of the most common nutrient issues in Australia, often only noticed when bones, mood, immunity or hormones start to slide.

A very positive experience
I booked a blood test because my health insurance did not cover GP consultations. The referral form was emailed to me immediately, I walked into a collection centre the next morning and my results arrived the very next day. One result showed an elevated TSH level and because I was pregnant, a doctor from their Sydney office personally called me to talk it through. It made me feel they genuinely cared.
Could not have been better
I've been in remission from Graves Disease for a few years and suddenly had symptoms again. It was easy to choose and purchase the test I needed at a reasonable price and set up the appointment online for the next day. The lab tech was friendly and put me entirely at ease, and the results were delivered electronically within a day or two. Could not have been better.
These guys are brilliant
Ordered the test, got the referral letter within 20 minutes. Got the test done on a Saturday and had the results by Sunday evening. Seriously efficient and very quick.
Efficient from start to finish
I selected and ordered the tests I wanted online, then dropped into the clinic for the blood draw during my lunch break. The process was quick and efficient, and by lunchtime the following day my results had been emailed directly to me. Fast, convenient and hassle-free.
Brilliant service
Absolutely loved that I got to choose what blood tests I wanted. There is a huge selection and the process was very simple. My results arrived very quickly in my email and I'd definitely use again and recommend to friends and family.

Great pricing
Great pricing, with easy optional extras by checking a box for more comprehensive tests without having to get a top tier package like other companies offer. Fast, efficient and clear results.
Fantastic service
Excellent, convenient service and so easy to use. Amazingly quick results and a personalised service if needed. I could not fault any part of it.
Great option and perfect service
Easy check out of the test on the website, easy to get the test done and results came quickly. Good to get an idea of any issues as a prep before seeing the GP.
Very simple and easy
It was very simple and easy. I got my results back within a few hours, a lot quicker than I was expecting. There were a lot of locations I could go to for my blood test. Highly recommend.
Very professional and quick
Very professional, very quick, I can't fault anything. I'll be happy to do another one when the time comes.
The ease of the whole experience
The ease of the whole experience, and the quick turnaround with results. Exactly what I was after.
Reliable and no prescription needed
It is a reliable method to get a blood test without the doctor's prescription. The whole thing was easy to organise and I'd happily use it again.
Very efficient and convenient
Very efficient and convenient from start to finish. Exactly the kind of easy, no-fuss service I was hoping for.
The Vitamin D Optimisation Panel is a vitamin D blood test that goes well beyond a single reading. It is built for people who want to properly understand and optimise their vitamin D status, particularly given how common deficiency is across Australia despite the climate.
It measures both 25-OH vitamin D (the standard storage marker) and 1,25-OH vitamin D (the active hormonal form), alongside parathyroid hormone (PTH), calcium, magnesium and phosphate. Testing the active form and PTH together gives insight a standard vitamin D test cannot, showing how well your body is actually using and regulating vitamin D, not just how much is stored.
If you want vitamin D alongside other common deficiencies, the Nutrient Deficiency Check adds B12, folate and iron-related markers, while the Essential Health Check gives a broader baseline. You can also create your own blood test.
Vitamin D plays a role in bone health, immunity and mood, and Healthdirect Australia notes deficiency is widespread despite the sunshine. The Vitamin D Optimisation Panel needs no GP referral and no appointment, so you can get your blood test online and walk into any of 3,300+ collection centres across Australia, with results in 24 to 48 hours.
25-OH Vitamin D The standard measure of vitamin D in the body. Reflects both sun exposure and supplementation and is used to assess whether levels are deficient, insufficient or within a healthy range.
Parathyroid Hormone (PTH) Produced by four small glands in the neck, PTH regulates calcium and phosphate levels in the blood. Chronically low vitamin D causes PTH to rise, which over time draws calcium from bone to compensate. Elevated PTH alongside low vitamin D is a key indicator that deficiency has been present long enough to affect bone metabolism.
Calcium (Serum) The primary mineral in bone and teeth, calcium is also essential for muscle contraction, nerve signalling and heart function. Serum calcium is tightly regulated by PTH and vitamin D — abnormal levels can indicate absorption problems or underlying metabolic issues.
Magnesium (Serum) Magnesium is required for vitamin D to be converted into its active form in the body. Low magnesium means vitamin D supplementation may have limited effect, regardless of dose. It also plays a direct role in bone density, muscle function and sleep quality.
Phosphate Works alongside calcium in the structure of bone. Imbalances in phosphate can indicate kidney dysfunction, malabsorption or parathyroid problems, all of which affect how well the body manages vitamin D and calcium together.
1,25-OH Vitamin D (Active Form) (optional add-on) The biologically active form of vitamin D produced by the kidneys. While 25-OH vitamin D reflects your stores, 1,25-OH tells you how much active vitamin D your body is actually producing and using. Useful when standard vitamin D appears normal but symptoms persist, or when kidney or granulomatous conditions are suspected.
